Groenfontein Guest Farm

Groenfontein Guest Farm is a self-catering farm house located near Vrede, in the picturesque landscape of the North-Eastern Free State. It provides an escape from city life and is in close proximity to major cities in Gauteng. The farm offers a peaceful and quiet country atmosphere where visitors can enjoy nature and various leisure activities such as hiking, bass fishing, mountain biking, and bird watching. Guests are also welcome to bring their own horses.

The house accommodates 9 guests and consists of 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen. Two bedrooms have double beds, two have two single beds each, and the fifth bedroom has one single bed. One bathroom features a bath, toilet, and basin, while the other has a shower, basin, and a separate adjacent toilet.

The fully-equipped, open-plan kitchen is designed for self-catering and includes a gas fridge, gas oven, and an AGA coal oven. The house is 100% off-grid, and there is a fire pit outside where guests can enjoy the beautiful stars at night. Approximately 1km from the farm house is a viewpoint where visitors can have a picnic and enjoy the beautiful farm scenery.
