Groenriviermond Accommodation

Groenriviermond Accommodation is a lodging establishment located approximately 60 kilometers west of the town of Garies and 3 kilometers from the South entrance of the Namaqua National Park. Garies is situated along the N7 Highway and is renowned for its massive display of spring wildflowers, being considered one of the main tourism centers during the spring season.

The accommodation offers a bed and breakfast room suitable for those passing through, as well as a backpackers hut that provides basic amenities and a basin with hot and cold water. Breakfast is available at an additional cost upon request. There is a lapa with braai facilities and an entertainment area available for camping groups and functions. The ablution facilities include showers with warm water.

Among the attractions in the area are miles of hiking and biking trails, and the farm is quad-bike friendly. Visitors can enjoy an endless display of Namaqualand wildflowers, observe Namaqualand wildlife in the conservancy, and explore the nearby coastline. The location offers uncrowded land with wide-open spaces and broad horizons, and there is a possibility of spotting dusky dolphins found on the west coast and water birds like flamingos. Additionally, there is a function venue that can accommodate up to 30 people.

The accommodation has four enclosed campsites that offer complete privacy. The campsites feature ablution facilities with hot and cold water showers and braai facilities. Guests can make use of the enclosed lapa area.
