Gumtree Manor is a three-bedroom timber cabin situated between the Swartberg and Kammanassie Mountains, positioned approximately 15 meters above the waters of the Stompdrift Dam. The cabin was largely constructed from recycled materials and occupies a unique location in a remote part of the planet.

The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, a dressing table, a fan, and has a sliding door leading onto the veranda. It is accompanied by a full bathroom featuring both a shower and a large Victorian-style bathtub. The first guest bedroom is equipped with a double bed, a fan, and a sliding door opening onto the veranda. The second guest bedroom contains two three-quarter beds, and the guest bathroom has a shower.

The kitchen is well-equipped, featuring a gas hob fitted in a center island and an Oregon-pine dining table that comfortably seats six people. The lounge area is fitted with a close-combustion fireplace and furnished with an oversized three-seater couch and two armchairs. It also includes a HiFi system and a 32-inch flat-screen TV connected to DStv, requiring guests to bring their own decoder.

The cabin is protected from wind by a half-moon shadecloth screen. There is a social boma braai area, and a private staircase provides easy access to the water. The dam is suitable for various activities such as water skiing, canoeing, fishing, or simply taking a refreshing swim in the mineral-laden waters.
