Hakusembe River Lodge, Gondwana Collection Namibia

Hakusembe River Lodge, part of the Gondwana Collection Namibia, is situated 16km from Rundu in the Kavango region. The lodge presents a refreshing oasis featuring green lawns, large trees, and thatched chalets along a sparkling riverfront.

The property comprises 20 chalets, including six twin rooms (one adapted for limited mobility), twelve triple rooms, one villa, and one family unit. Each accommodation is equipped with air conditioning, en-suite bathroom facilities, mosquito nets, and safes. All rooms overlook the Okavango River, offering scenic views of the waterway.

The lodge offers numerous river-based activities, including sunset boat cruises, morning bird-watching excursions, and fishing opportunities. The fishing program features catch-and-release practices for tiger fish, one of the strongest fighting freshwater fish species. However, water activities are seasonal and dependent on river levels, particularly during the dry season between September and December.

Facility amenities include a restaurant, bar, curio shop, swimming pool, and WiFi connectivity. The property maintains 24-hour security and secure parking. Additional services include laundry facilities, and the lodge accepts major credit cards.

The establishment is family-friendly, welcoming children of all ages.
