Halfway There Game Lodge

The Halfway There Game Lodge is situated within the Dinokeng Big Five Game Reserve, offering self-catering accommodation in a rustic environment. The lodge provides a tranquil getaway from city life while meeting guests' expectations with modern conveniences. It features four chalets themed after iconic Hollywood figures like Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Audrey Hepburn, and James Dean, as well as six newly added luxury western-themed glamping tents.

Located on 800 hectares of unspoiled bushveld within the Dinokeng Big Five Game Reserve, the lodge is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, rhinos, lions, buffalos, giraffes, eland, kudu, wildebeest, and zebras, among others. Guests can enjoy the tranquility of sitting around a campfire at night, gazing at the magnificent stars while listening to the sounds of nature, such as roaring lions, jackals, or laughing hyenas.

The lodge offers various amenities, including a chapel, reception hall, catering services, and decor options that can accommodate up to 180 people. All quotes include a self-game drive on the Halfway There property, and guided game drives can also be arranged upon request. For couples celebrating special occasions like engagements or anniversaries, the lodge provides romantic touches like rose petals, chocolates, and a bottle of bubbly in the room, as well as the option to arrange a romantic bush picnic or private game drive.

Children under 12 years old can enjoy amenities such as swings, a jungle gym, a slide, and a small swimming pool, while older children have access to a larger swimming pool. The non-smoking glamping tents are equipped with a kitchenette featuring a coffee station, mini-fridge, two-plate stove, and microwave oven, as well as an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower, air conditioning, a king-size bed that can be separated into two single beds if needed, and an extra single bed. Each tent also has a patio overlooking the bush, covered parking, braai facilities, and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot at the bar and swimming pool area.
