Hampton House

Hampton House, a guest house that received the award for the Guest House category in the 20 Years of Accommodation Awards 2014, was originally constructed in 1953 and serves as a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city environment. The establishment offers accommodation in five spacious rooms, each equipped with a private bathroom featuring a shower, hand basin, and toilet, as well as an additional outside entrance to ensure privacy for guests.

The comfortable lounge area features a luxurious leather couch and Cape Dutch stinkwood chairs, providing a inviting space for guests to relax with a good book or engage in conversation with others. The homely family kitchen exudes a welcoming ambiance with its large table and chairs, where breakfast can be served upon request. Through the kitchen door, guests can access the delightful courtyard, adorned with tables, seats, potted plants, fountains, and statues, creating an atmosphere conducive to informal entertainment and functions. Additionally, a braai area is available for guests' use, situated under the shade of a spreading Jacaranda tree.

Hampton House was recognized as the winner of the AA Guest House Category for 2014 and was named a Provincial Finalist in Gauteng at the Lilizela Awards 2015. The establishment can accommodate a maximum of 30 guests, making it an ideal venue for intimate weddings. One of the rooms offered is a luxury room with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom.
