Hardeveld Lodge is a small lodge managed by the owner, Fey Van Heerden. Fey and her late husband, Kobus, have been involved in the tourism industry since 1986 and took over the Lodge in September 2013. The lodge offers value-for-money accommodation options, including self-catering and bed and breakfast.

The lodge is strategically located on the N7 route between Cape Town and Namibia, approximately 360 km north of Cape Town, in a village called Nuwerus, previously known as Erdvarkgat. It provides affordable, spacious, upmarket, and well-maintained accommodation with quality linens and mattresses. Each unit is equipped with an air conditioner, TV, fridge, and freezer, and is fully set up for self-catering with private barbecue facilities.

Hardeveld Lodge serves as an ideal base for exploring the area's wonders, whether as a weekend getaway or a base for those working in the vicinity. The lodge offers various accommodation options, including camping, self-catering, bed and breakfast, and dinner, bed and breakfast. Breakfast and dinner times are flexible outside of the flower season period (August, September, October), but meals must be pre-booked during the flower season and are served during specified meal times. Arrival and departure times are flexible where possible.

The campsites have electricity points and shared ablution facilities with hot showers, toilets, and basins. Guests have access to tables under shade cloth, an open lapa braai area, a large undercover braai area, and portable braais. Camping guests are required to use the hot water ablution facilities. Additionally, the lodge features a communal dining room, lounge, and a small swimming pool on-site.
