Heidelberg Lodge is strategically located in Heidelberg, Gauteng, situated 50 km from Johannesburg, 40 km from OR Tambo International Airport, and 50 km from the Vaal River along the N3 highway. The establishment is nestled in a historic Victorian town that borders the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve, home to Gauteng's highest point at nearly 2,000 metres above sea level.

The lodge offers three distinct accommodation sections: the West Wing featuring 9 double rooms and 1 family room, Jacobs House containing 5 double rooms, 1 family room, and 1 single room, and the Duiker Units comprising three separate units with multiple double bedrooms. All rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, television with selected DSTV channels, Wi-Fi, bar fridge, microwave, and tea/coffee making facilities. Select rooms feature air conditioning, and all bathrooms are furnished with amenities and towels.

The property provides various amenities including braai facilities, a splash pool, and secure off-street parking protected by remote-controlled gates and electric fencing. The lodge's location offers convenient access to the town's five shopping centres, medical facilities, religious institutions, and sporting amenities. Of historical interest, the property is situated near the former residence of AG Visser, a notable Afrikaans poet and medical doctor, which is available for viewing by appointment.
