Herder Herberg Guest House

The Herder Herberg Guest House is situated on the banks of the Modder River, approximately 25 km north of Bloemfontein's city center. It offers accommodation options for travelers and campers traveling between the north and south of South Africa. The guest house aims to provide a comfortable, home-style atmosphere with a country ambiance.

The accommodation facilities at the Herder Herberg Guest House include two separate self-catering chalets and five en-suite bedrooms in the main house. The chalets are situated near the Modder River and are equipped with lounges, fully equipped kitchens with fridge-freezers, two-plate stoves, and small ovens. Each chalet has one bedroom with two single beds and a bunk bed, accommodating four guests with a shared bathroom. Guests have the option to prepare their own meals or order meals from the guest house with prior arrangement. Braai facilities are provided.

The guest house is located near various amenities, such as the Loch Logan Waterfront, Free State Stadium, hospitals, Medi-Clinic, a theatre, rugby stadium, cricket stadium, restaurants, and shopping centers. The establishment aims to provide comfortable accommodation for business people, families, tourists, and sporting groups in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

One of the en-suite bedrooms features one double bed and one three-quarter bed with a private entrance. Complimentary tea, coffee, rusks or biscuits, and magazines are provided upon request. Guests can order meals with prior arrangement or use the braai facilities on the patio overlooking the garden. Secured parking for vehicles is available.

All guests can enjoy the guest house's facilities, including swimming, a trampoline, and fishing in the Modder River.
