The establishment is situated in a beautiful garden on the oldest street in Riversdale, where the historic Cape longhouse, built in 1859 as the residence of the town's first magistrate, is undergoing a loving restoration process.

The establishment overlooks the reedy Vette River and offers stunning views of the Langeberg Mountains, including the Sleeping Beauty Mountains. With a riding school on one side and a horse farm on the other, it provides a country atmosphere while being just a short walk away from the town center.

Heritage House Self Catering Cottages And Rooms offers two cozy cottages and two rooms in the historical main house for guests' stay. All units are fully self-catering, and tea, coffee, milk, and breakfast cereals are provided. The units are equipped with heaters for cooler months and fans for warmer months. Electric blankets, stretcher beds, camp cots, and braai facilities are available. Additionally, the units have TV with SABC channels, and the establishment is pet-friendly.

The hosts, Brian and Robyn Learmonth, await to welcome guests to their lovely home. The Guinea Fowl cottage features two single beds upstairs and a third downstairs, with an option to add an extra bed if needed. It has a fully equipped kitchenette with an open-plan living and dining area, as well as a private bathroom with a shower, toilet, and hand-basin. Tea, coffee, and breakfast cereal are provided for the first day of the guests' stay.
