Highcroft Lodge

Highcroft Lodge is a retreat located in Umzumbe, a serene village on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, approximately 1 km from a blue flag beach and 6 km from Hibberdene shops, restaurants and bars. It is situated on a working parrot farm, where guests can admire the colorful and friendly birds, as well as a herd of buck that roams freely on the property.

The lodge offers various accommodation options, including four two-sleeper rooms with private bathrooms, one two-sleeper room for three people with a shared en-suite bathroom, one four-sleeper two-bedroom family chalet with a shared en-suite bathroom, and two two-bedroom units with shared en-suite bathrooms and a single bed in each bedroom. Each unit has a patio with outdoor furniture overlooking the lush garden.

Highcroft Lodge features a labyrinth, a circular path symbolizing the journey of life, which can be used for meditation, reflection, and healing, as well as outdoor events such as weddings, ceremonies, or rituals. Additionally, the lodge has a meditation room equipped with cushions, mats, candles, and incense, providing a sacred space for individual or group meditation, yoga, chi gung, or other spiritual practices.

Guests can enjoy braai facilities on the premises, and numerous restaurants, bars, and entertainment options for children are available within a five to ten-minute drive, including blue flag beaches, shops, supermarkets, laundries, and garages. The lodge serves as an ideal base for exploring the South Coast, known for its spectacular golden beaches, numerous rivers, and incredible nature reserves, offering opportunities for swimming, surfing, snorkeling, fishing, and sunbathing.

The lodge offers two units of a specific type comprising two bedrooms, with two single beds in each room and a shared en-suite bathroom, as well as an outdoor patio with chairs and coffee tables. Braai facilities are available on the property.
