Highland Run Exclusive Fly Fishing Estate is situated in the wild, rugged scenery of the Drakensberg Mountains in Mpumalanga Province. One of the finest trout fishing streams in the country, the beautiful Spekboom, flows through the estate. The estate forms part of the Mount Anderson Water Catchment Reserve and is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including many species of antelope and the elusive leopard.

The estate offers five kilometers of rapids, riffles, runs, glides, and pools for fly fishing enthusiasts. Those who wish to explore beyond the fishing streams can hike and bike in the Reserve, where they can observe over a hundred species of Highveld avifauna. The Spekboom Valley, accessed via a 17-kilometer dirt road near Lydenburg, bears relics of its romantic gold-rush days, adding to the estate's charm.

Accommodation is provided in two charming, fully appointed cottages, where highly trained housekeepers ensure guests' comfort. The Cottage accommodates 8-10 people and features four bedrooms, two of which have en-suite bathrooms, three additional bathrooms, and an extra room that can be used as a fifth bedroom. The living area has an open-plan kitchen, dining room, and lounge. The cottage is equipped with electricity, a fully equipped kitchen, linen, towels, and cleaning materials. It also offers DStv, an indoor fireplace, and an outdoor braai area with firewood supplied (charcoal not included).
