The Highlands Country House is a national monument situated in one of Cape Town's prestigious suburbs, located between the renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and the Constantia wine estates. Built in 1900 by Sir Herbert Baker, it is considered one of the most important Cape homes of that era.

The property features magnificent gardens, two sparkling pools, a putting green, and terraced Italian gardens with water features. The elegantly furnished rooms have long sash windows overlooking these picturesque surroundings. The house offers a warm welcome, with caring staff attending to every need of guests. With only 14 spacious bedrooms, privacy and personal hospitality are assured.

Guests can relax and enjoy sumptuous breakfasts, while lunch and dinner prepared by the Cordon Bleu chef are available by prior arrangement. The property features several facilities for guests' enjoyment, including a lounge, library, intimate private bar, Colonial sitting room, romantic dining conservatory, and a large elegant billiard room. During the winter months, five of these facilities have log fires, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Located in Kenilworth, the Highlands Country House is close to corporate head offices, golf courses, Newlands rugby and cricket grounds, and Rhodes Memorial, also built by Sir Herbert Baker. Beaches on the Atlantic seaboard and the Indian Ocean, the airport, Waterfront, and Cape Town city center are approximately 20 minutes away. The property is designed with the business traveller in mind, featuring beautifully decorated, light, and airy Executive rooms, each with private bathrooms with full baths and separate walk-in showers, as well as TVs, minibars, and hairdryers.
