Highlands Lodge

Highlands Lodge is a small mountain retreat situated in the beautiful Waboomskraal Valley, nearly halfway between Oudtshoorn and George on the N12, in the Outeniqua Mountains of the Garden Route. The lodge has a tranquil and natural atmosphere with ample bird life, large lawn areas, and indigenous trees, creating a lush oasis. It comprises 16 free-standing wooden log chalets, each with its own private entrance, open-plan kitchenette/living area, and a braai area outside. Some of the chalets feature an inside fireplace.

The lodge offers a communal swimming pool area, a children's playground, and a jungle gym. Secure parking next to the chalets is available. This mountain establishment does not provide TVs or Wi-Fi. Highlands Lodge is a quiet, peaceful place to recharge from a busy city life, centrally located 20 km from George and 40 km from Oudtshoorn.

The lodge has a jungle gym and swings for small kids, and some of the chalets have bunk beds for children. The 2-Sleeper Cabins have one bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The open-plan kitchen and living area feature a fireplace for cold winter nights, and an outside braai area is available for warmer evenings. The kitchen is equipped with a 2-plate mini stove, a microwave, a kettle, a fridge, a toaster, cooking utensils, and crockery & cutlery.
