Highover Wildlife Sanctuary

Highover Wildlife Sanctuary is an eco-adventure destination located in Richmond, KwaZulu-Natal. It offers various accommodation options ranging from luxurious lodges to cozy stone cottages, picturesque riverside chalets, comfortable bunkhouses, and camping sites. The sanctuary welcomes both overnight guests and day visitors seeking nature's embrace.

Visitors can indulge in a diverse range of activities, including exhilarating hiking trails, fly fishing, challenging 4x4 trails, tubing and swimming, off-road and quad-biking tracks, magnificent mountain biking trails, and serene picnic spots. Highover Wildlife Sanctuary provides facilities such as a photocopy machine, whiteboard, parking, babysitting services, children's creche, laundry facilities, and staff members who speak Dutch, Zulu (isiZulu), and English. The accommodation options offer amenities like television, air conditioning, and pet-friendly policies.

The sanctuary is available for weddings, birthdays, and corporate events, accommodating up to 120 guests for small weddings. Additionally, it offers backpacker accommodation with basic but comfortable units, including bunkbeds, single beds, and a double bed unit. The backpacker area features a central braai area, communal ablution block with solar heating, a communal kitchen, a library, and a games room.
