Hog Hollow Country Lodge

Hog Hollow Country Lodge, established in 1993, is situated 18km east of Plettenberg Bay along South Africa's Garden Route. Set within a private nature reserve bordering indigenous forest, the lodge offers spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and Tsitsikamma Mountains.

The property features sixteen individual suites nestled in lush gardens around the main house. Each suite is uniquely decorated in African style, featuring earthy tones, vibrant colors, and natural materials. The rooms showcase locally handcrafted woods, artifacts from across Africa, and naturally woven fabrics. Standard amenities include private wooden decks, hammocks, king-sized beds, lounge areas, en-suite bathrooms, and most suites include fireplaces. Family suites are double-storey, with a master bedroom upstairs and a lounge area downstairs that can accommodate two children under 12 years.

The lodge's main communal area includes the boma deck, which overlooks the Matjies River Gorge and serves as the social hub of the property. Here, guests can enjoy refreshments, relax by the fire, or socialize. Additional facilities include a swimming pool with a deck area, a far lounge with television, and various peaceful spots for relaxation, including a space under a leafy ficus tree.

The location provides easy access to numerous attractions, including Monkeyland and the Elephant Sanctuary, which can be reached through indigenous forest walks. Keurbooms Beach is a 10-minute drive away, while Nature's Valley can be reached within 20 minutes by car.
