Holden Manz Wine Estate

The Holden Manz Wine Estate, owned by Gerard Holden and Migo Manz, is located at the top of the Franschhoek Valley. It is situated between the Franschhoek and Stony Brook Rivers on a 22-hectare property with fertile, dark loam soils. The estate features a state-of-the-art winemaking cellar and vineyards that benefit from the surrounding mountains.

The estate offers a mix of amenities, including a vineyard and winery, a restaurant with picnic areas along the river, and a 5-star guest house with a health and wellness spa. The on-site restaurant, Franschhoek Kitchen, is headed by chef Bjorn Dingemans, who utilizes local fresh produce and vegetables and fruits from the estate's gardens to create dishes inspired by international cuisine and the simplicity of each ingredient.

The Holden Manz Guest House, built in the Cape Dutch style but only around 10 years old, features comfortable and grand layouts. The interior design incorporates muted grey tones that interact with the changing light, warm finishes, and extra-large bed pillows to create a calming atmosphere. A modern art collection is displayed throughout the buildings, and each suite showcases contemporary African art. The guest suites are equipped with king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms with showers, air-conditioning, underfloor heating, and large balconies offering spectacular views of the property, vineyards, and surrounding mountains.
