Honey Lodge

Honey Lodge is a self-catering accommodation situated in the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve. It offers a lapa with a 180-degree view overlooking the Kaallaagte valley, streams, and dams. The Lodge provides comfortable accommodation for individuals, couples, families, or larger groups.

The Lodge has 7 rooms with en-suite bathrooms, accommodating up to 23 people. Each room is equipped with an air conditioner and a safe. The Main house features a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with a TV and DSTV that opens onto a veranda. The lapa is equipped with a gas braai.

Additionally, Honey Lodge has a Rondawel with a double bed, an en-suite bathroom (shower only), and a small kitchenette. The Chalet is the newest addition, consisting of a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet, a small kitchenette equipped with essential appliances, cutlery, crockery, and cooking utensils. The Chalet also features a TV with DSTV and an intimate balcony ideal for a romantic braai overlooking the Kaallaagte river.

Honey Lodge caters to individuals as well as groups, making it a perfect location for family reunions, gatherings, or birthday parties away from the city. Caravan and camping facilities are also available. WiFi is now available on the property. It is important to note that music is not allowed, and conservation fees for the Reserve are not included in the accommodation rates and are payable by guests upon arrival at the Dinokeng Gate.

The property has two resident cats that act as snake deterrents and are friendly with guests. Honey Lodge is a family-friendly bush getaway, with a fenced-in, child-friendly swimming pool that requires adult supervision. Some rooms have double beds, en-suite bathrooms with showers, baths, and toilets, as well as fridges, microwaves, cookers, crockery, cutlery, and tea and coffee-making facilities.
