Horizon Savannah Chalets

Horizon Savannah Chalets is located inside the gates of the eastern boundary of the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve. It is situated on a 60-hectare conservancy hosting only plains game, making it safe for walking, cycling, and running. It also offers easy access to the self-drive route in the Big 5 area, providing guests with the best of both worlds.

The accommodation comprises two bespoke high-end standalone self-catering chalets. The chalets feature sleeper wood furniture and original wildlife paintings. One chalet can accommodate up to four guests, while the other can accommodate two guests. The first chalet has one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, one bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The second cottage is a two-sleeper overlooking the swimming pool.

The bathrooms contain showers, toilets, and washbasins. The comfortable lounge area in the four-sleeper chalet features leather couches, wingback chairs, and two single beds. The kitchens in both chalets are well-equipped for self-catering, including a fridge-freezer, stove and oven, kettle, toaster, microwave oven, and cutlery and crockery.

The chalets have sliding doors opening to a covered patio with outdoor dining tables and chairs, as well as braai facilities. There are also private lapas with seating at both chalets. A swimming pool in a private bushveld setting makes Horizon Savannah an ideal place to relax.

There are four campsites, each with its own private ablutions containing a shower, basin, and toilet. Other activities in the area include the Arlington craft brewery, other restaurants, organized game drives, and self-drive routes in the nearby Big 5 reserve.
