Hornbill House is a multi-purpose establishment located in the small village of Hemel en Aarde between Hermanus and Onrus. It offers accommodation, a ceramic studio, an art gallery, and a restaurant, making it a diverse destination for visitors. The accommodation comprises four units catering to different group sizes. Two units accommodate up to two people, while the Garden unit can accommodate up to four people, and the Family unit can accommodate up to eight people with prior arrangement.

The units feature private bathrooms with showers, lounge areas, and kitchenettes suitable for self-catering. The Jono and Cara units are situated on the first floor and offer off-street parking, while the Garden and Family units are located on the ground floor with parking available on the lawn. Guests have the opportunity to observe artists at work in the studio and explore the art gallery and gift shop. Hornbill House also produces its own wines following a true garagiste tradition, resulting in flavorful offerings.

The on-site restaurant, Season, provides an exceptional dining experience where guests can savor a meal accompanied by locally produced wines. Hermanus, a nearby town, offers a variety of shops and restaurants, as well as a local craft market brimming with gift ideas. During certain times of the year, the town comes alive with the whale season, adding an extra attraction for visitors.

One of the studio units features a King-sized bed, a private bathroom, electric blankets, a living area with a couch, hotel DSTV, a flat-screen TV, and complimentary Wi-Fi internet access. Additionally, it includes a fully equipped kitchenette with counter seating for two, a two-plate oven/stove, and a microwave. Guests also have access to a communal BBQ area and equipment.
