House 217 is a modern self-catering house located on the secure Gowrie Farm Golf Estate in Nottingham Road, in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. The Gowrie Farm Golf Estate offers an 18-hole golf course, a pro shop and clubhouse, a conference venue, and trout fishing. The estate is situated in the center of the popular Midlands Meander tourism route, which offers various restaurants, coffee shops, spas, shops, and cultural attractions.

House 217 can accommodate up to 8 guests and consists of 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, and an enclosed verandah. The first and second bedrooms each contain a king-size bed, while the third and fourth bedrooms each contain 2 single beds. All the bedrooms have an en suite bathroom.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and features a laundry area with a washing machine, tumble-dryer, and a dishwasher. There is also a breakfast bar with 8 stools. The comfortable TV lounge features a flat-screen TV with full DStv, a sound system, and an indoor braai fireplace. The enclosed verandah has a lounge area, a 10-seater dining table and chairs, and offers lovely views over the golf course. The cottage is serviced daily.
