Hout Bay Manor

Hout Bay Manor is a renowned landmark in Cape Town known for its graceful design. It is a historical building constructed from stone in the traditional Cape Colonial style by Jacob Trautmann in 1871, on land that was previously part of the Kronendal Estate. The manor underwent a refurbishment and reopened in 2007, restoring it to its former elegance.

The manor offers 16 individually designed en-suite bedrooms, each equipped with spacious bathrooms stocked with towels and a range of local designer bathroom products. The rooms feature plasma screen televisions, selected DStv channels, and free wireless internet connections. Hout Bay Manor has preserved its history and heritage while incorporating Zulu and Xhosa chic decor to celebrate the vibrant culture of South Africa.

On the ground level, guests can find an opulent open-plan lounge and bar area, including a designer marble bar where they can interact with fellow travelers or enjoy a novel from the library. The manor offers an extensive collection of fine Cape wines, and guests can relax by the cozy fireplace.

Hout Bay Manor features amenities such as air-conditioning, heating, tea and coffee-making facilities, and conference or banqueting facilities. It also houses a wine cellar and a private swimming pool. The manor offers tours and transfers for guests to explore the natural beauty and local attractions in the area, including the World of Birds, Hout Bay Beach, the picturesque fishing harbor, horse riding, and adventure sports. Guided tours of the winelands, Table Mountain, Cape Point, and Seal Island boat trips are available.

The Inzolo Wellness Suite complements the manor's architecture and relaxing ambience, offering a menu of massages, facials, and other pampering therapies. The manor consists of five unique venues that create a magical atmosphere and can host up to 120 guests.
