Hythelands House

Hythelands is a peaceful retreat located on a dairy farm along the Hlatikulu Road, situated 10.4 kilometers outside of Mooi River. The property features two distinct accommodation options: Hythelands House and Hythe Hideaway, both offering self-catering facilities with stunning views of the Drakensberg mountain ranges.

Hythelands House can accommodate up to eight guests and comprises three bedrooms. The bedroom configuration includes one room with a double bed, another with two single beds, and a third containing both a double bed and a bunk bed. The house features a spacious kitchen equipped with modern amenities and a comfortable lounge area. Additional amenities include a courtyard with outdoor seating and braai facilities, as well as fireplaces in both the lounge and kitchen. DStv is available for entertainment.

Hythe Hideaway, designed as a cozy escape, offers a more rustic experience with three bedrooms: one with a queen bed, another with a double bed, and a third with twin beds. The cabin includes a communal shower and toilet, a fully equipped kitchen, and a sitting area. All rooms open onto a shared verandah overlooking the river. This simpler accommodation option deliberately excludes television and WiFi to enhance the escape-to-nature experience.

The area offers various attractions, including horse trails at the Zuluwaters Game Reserve, fishing opportunities, and fine dining at the nearby Hartford House Restaurant, known for its French cuisine.
