Iketla Lodge

Iketla Lodge is located in a natural basin formed by spectacular mountains and cliffs, situated within a private nature conservancy of 540 hectares. The lodge offers an unspoiled African bush experience with unparalleled natural scenery, providing peace and total relaxation at an affordable price. It is located on the northern end of the Panorama Route, near the Blyde River Canyon, in the Mpumalanga Province, en-route to the Kruger National Park.

Guests are accommodated in spacious stone-and-thatch cottages, each with en-suite facilities and private patios overlooking a natural valley with a spectacular amphitheatre of mountains and cliffs. The unique en-suite bathrooms feature a stone-built shower, a hand-made ceramic basin set in a hardwood slab, and a separate toilet. Additionally, each cottage has a very private outdoor shower with a view.

The lodge accommodates a maximum of 16 guests per night, ensuring exclusivity and privacy. A central thatched area houses the lounge, dining area, and bar, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. An open sundeck overlooks a sparkling pool. Traditional South African food is served in a convivial atmosphere, and guests can enjoy dinner around the campfire when weather permits.

Activities available at Iketla Lodge include nature hikes, guided walks, and superb bird watching. The lodge also provides well-furnished accommodation for a guide, featuring a Queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a toilet, shower, and wash basin, as well as a separate kitchen and reading area.
