Ikhayalamafu Mountain Reserve

The Ikhayalamafu Mountain Reserve is located high in the Monk's Cowl Reserve of the central Drakensberg Mountains in the Champagne Valley. It offers a secluded and peaceful retreat surrounded by the natural beauty of the Ukhahlamba/Drakensberg World Heritage Site, with views of the dramatic Cathkin Peak and Champagne Castle.

The reserve spans over 95 hectares and features mountains, streams, spectacular waterfalls, and indigenous forests with hiking trails that are exclusively accessible to guests. The open-plan cabin is located next to a stream in an indigenous forest and provides a cozy and romantic setting with a king-size bed, a fireplace, and an en-suite shower.

The cabin's kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, microwave, and a deck with a BBQ area. While the cabin does not have a TV, it offers Wi-Fi connectivity. The reserve is designed for visitors seeking a peaceful and tranquil getaway amidst the majesty of the Drakensberg Mountains.
