Ikwanitsha Lodge

Ikwanitsha Lodge is situated in South Africa's malaria-free Eastern Cape, approximately one hour's drive from Port Elizabeth. The property spans 300 hectares of typical South African bush landscape and is positioned outside of Paterson, offering a private retreat with its own wildlife population.

The lodge features four chalets, each equipped with a spacious veranda providing spectacular views over the adjacent canyon and Bushmans River. Each chalet accommodates two adults and comes furnished with a queen-size bed, kitchenette with tea and coffee facilities, microwave, and fridge, along with a bathroom featuring a shower and toilet. Guests can enjoy meals at the bushbar and restaurant, with a well-stocked bar and outdoor patio available for refreshments.

The property is home to various wildlife species, including zebras, ostriches, and several antelope species, allowing guests to observe native fauna and flora while enjoying spectacular sunsets. The lodge's strategic location makes it an ideal base for day trips to the Addo Elephant National Park (25km away) and safaris in surrounding game reserves, including Schotia Safaris Private Game Reserve (20km away).

The multilingual owners, fluent in German, English, and Afrikaans, assist guests with organizing safaris and day trips, including morning Buffalo and Game Drives at a nearby lodge 10km away. The establishment offers visitors an authentic South African bush experience while maintaining a peaceful distance from everyday stresses.
