Imka Trinity Retreat is a welcoming self-catering establishment situated in the peaceful village of Stormsriver, within the heart of South Africa's Tsitsikamma National Park area. The property has earned recognition as both the Best Establishment and Best Value for Money in Storms River for 2018, based on Sleeping-OUT's Guest Satisfaction Awards.
The retreat features a fully fenced property with secure off-street parking adjacent to the accommodations. It caters primarily to self-drive guests and small tour groups, offering a serene escape from everyday life while maintaining affordability for budget-conscious travelers.
The main accommodation, Driftklip House, can host up to nine guests across multiple rooms, including a family room with interleading bedrooms, a twin room, and a triple room with a double bunk. The house features a fully equipped open-plan kitchen, dining area, and lounge with DSTV and DVD facilities.
Additionally, the property offers two rustic brick and thatch rondavels in the garden, each with en-suite facilities. The smaller rondavel provides twin beds with a sand and stone color scheme, while the larger one features a double bed, single bed, and small seating area, decorated in a Cape Cod theme inspired by Driftwood Bay in the Tsitsikamma National Park.
The retreat's location offers spectacular views of the Tsitsikamma Mountains and Fynbos vegetation. Guests can easily access local amenities in Stormsriver Village, including restaurants, a mini-market, and shops. The property's proximity to Storms River Mouth and the renowned Otter Trail makes it an ideal base for exploring the region's natural attractions.
While no alcohol is sold on the premises, the establishment provides a family-friendly environment where guests can experience the natural forces of the Tsitsikamma region, enjoying indigenous forests, fynbos vegetation, and the Indian Ocean coastline.
