Inchcape

A stopover for travelers en route to Botswana, Namibia, and Cape Town, located near the diamond center of Kimberley in South Africa. The property is situated in the small town of Warrenton, approximately 70 km north of Kimberley, with the N12 highway passing through. It is 570 km from Pretoria and 1020 km from Cape Town, making it an ideal stopover for travelers heading north or south in the country.

Inchcape features three unique cottages on the banks of the beautiful Vaal River. The cottages offer a calm and peaceful farm atmosphere, allowing guests to relax with a drink while enjoying the sounds of birds and beautiful sunsets. The accommodation options include an open-plan cottage known as the BO-HO honeymoon suite, which has a queen-size bed, a bathroom with a bath and shower, and a private deck with a braai overlooking the property and the river. The main house is divided into two cottages, each with its own private braai area overlooking the river and a kitchen equipped with a coffee plunger and a choice of coffees.

One of the cottages, called Sunrise, consists of two rooms, each with its own bathroom and shower. One room has a double bed, while the other has four single beds, making it ideal for hunters and bikers. The other cottage, Sunset, has two rooms u2013 one with a double bed and the other with a double bed and a single bed above. Both rooms have bathrooms with a bath, shower, and separate toilet.

All living rooms are equipped with a full DStv package, although there is no Wi-Fi available. Each cottage has braai facilities, and wood is available upon request at an additional cost. The cottages are approximately 70 meters from the river and separated by a fence with a locked gate, ensuring safety for children. The kitchens are fully equipped with full-size fridge-freezers, stoves or gas stoves, convection microwaves, pots, pans, kettles, toasters, and necessary cutlery. Coffee, tea, milk, sugar, salt, and pepper are provided. Family games are available upon request, and a baby camping cot can be provided. Each bedroom is fitted with a wall-mounted heater and an air conditioner.

The property features swings and a large lawn for children to play, with the river area fenced off for safety. The property is protected with high fencing and a motorized gate, and Warrenton is a very safe town. Fishing opportunities for species like Barbel, Carp, and Yellowfish are available in the river. Children can swim in the river under supervision, and guests are advised to wear shoes. Mountain biking is encouraged, with long, safe gravel roads in the area. The owners are keen bikers and can assist in planning biking trips for the day or a week.
