Jack Of The Karoo is a accommodation establishment located in the town of Sutherland in the Karoo region. It is known for its cold, snowy winters and stunning night skies, making it an attractive destination for travelers. The property comprises two houses: Jack and Die Prokureurshuis.

Jack is a newly renovated Victorian-era house that retains its charm and character. It features a large, old willow tree in front of the house, allowing guests to relax on the stoep and enjoy the fresh Karoo air. Die Prokureurshuis, dating back to 1937, shares a rich history with two of Sutherland's famous poets, NP van Wyk Louw and his brother WEG Louw.

Die Prokureurshuis showcases typical Karoo architecture, constructed with local materials such as sandstone, handmade bricks, and plastered with a breathable mud plaster. A prominent covered stoep provides protection from the harsh sun.

Jack accommodates six guests in total, with three double bedrooms, one of which is en-suite. All rooms are furnished with percale linen and warm blankets, and there is an additional bathroom. Die Prokureurshuis can accommodate eight guests in two double bedrooms and two bedrooms with two single beds each. The main bedroom is en-suite.

The accommodation is rented out as a single unit, with no sharing with other guests. Die Prokureurshuis is a typical Karoo-style house and one of the oldest properties in Sutherland, making it an ideal choice for larger groups or families.
