Jakhalsdans Game Farm and Guest House is situated in the heart of the Karoo. It is renowned as an oasis in the veld, offering various activities for the whole family to enjoy, including fishing, game viewing, water skiing, and bird watching. The guest houses are surrounded by beautiful gardens populated by a vast selection of birds.

The 13,000-hectare working farm has an abundance of game that guests can explore on foot, bicycle, horse, or game drive. Additionally, the farm features a refreshing water-skiing facility at the dam's 50-year-old ski club, catering to adventurous visitors.

Jakhalsdans Game Farm provides accommodation in three guest houses, namely the 'Ou Opstal,' 'Shearers Cottage,' and the 'Langhuis.' Each unit is fully equipped with a self-catering kitchen, lounge with DSTV, en-suite bathroom, and a braai area. The units can accommodate up to four guests each, preferably two adults and one child. Please note that the rates are subject to the number of guests staying, and guests are advised to request the appropriate tariffs.

The farm is home to a variety of game, including springbok, impala, blesbok, gemsbok, wildebeest, eland, kudu, Hartmann's zebra, and wild boar, among others. Guests can experience the wide-open spaces on a 'veld drive' and enjoy the beautiful scenery while viewing delightful plains game. Picnic baskets can be provided.

Experienced riders can explore the broad sweeping vistas and abundant animal life of the Karoo on horseback. Alternatively, more energetic visitors can explore the game farm on a mountain bike. The expansive freshwater dam, with its well-appointed clubhouse, offers exhilaration for water skiers as well as tranquility for fishermen.

Depending on the time of year, visitors can participate in the day-to-day running of the farm, such as feeding lambs, sheep herding, shearing, lucern harvesting, tractor drives, game capture, and game auctions. Jakhalsdans Game Farm and Guest House is also a perfect wedding venue, featuring beautiful gardens, luxurious accommodation, and various activities for guests to enjoy before the actual wedding.
