Jaya's Place is a small holding located on an active 18-acre permaculture essential oils, fruit, and vegetable production farm. It features four self-contained cottages, fully equipped with amenities. Guests are welcome to stroll through the spacious gardens and observe the local seasonal floral indigenous plantings, orchards, and farm animals. The property also houses a nursery and shop where visitors can purchase indigenous trees, shrubs, ground covers, essential oil plants, herbs, and other farm produce.

The endangered Cape Parrot flocks can be seen cavorting in the trees above the cottages during the early morning and evening hours, as they make their way to and from their feeding sites up to 200 kilometers away. For avid birdwatchers, the garden has been identified as home to at least 20 different bird species, making it an ideal destination for those interested in birdwatching activities and bringing their birding equipment.

One of the self-contained cottages is located adjacent to the Essential Amathole shop. This cottage features two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other capable of accommodating four people. It also includes a lounge, a dining room with a fireplace, and DStv. Additionally, there is a separate kitchen and bathroom within the cottage.
