Kaaimans River Cottage is located on the banks of the famous Kaaimans River. The cottage is only accessible by rowing boat or canoes, which are provided by the owners. Guests need to have an adventurous spirit to reach the cottage. The cottage offers direct access from the door, via boat or canoe, to the beautiful secluded Kaaimans beach, a secret waterfall, and unique river kloofing, making it a truly unforgettable outdoor holiday in the heart of the Garden Route.

The 3-bedroom cottage can accommodate 8 people and has 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom features a king-size bed, while the other 2 bedrooms have 2 single beds each. There is a double sleeper couch in the loft area. The cottage also comprises a kitchen, lounge, dining area, a covered verandah, and an open deck.

The cottage offers off-grid living. Solar power provides adequate electricity for basic needs such as lights at night, as well as enough power to charge phones and run a laptop or two for some hours. The stove, fridge, and hot water system are all gas-powered.

The property is pet-friendly by prior arrangement for well-behaved pets. It is not fenced; however, the river provides a barrier, preventing dogs from reaching the road unless they swim. The cottage is rural and ideal for those who enjoy being in the outdoors. People who like camping and hiking will love it here.

As guests need to cross the river to access the cottage, the weather can sometimes play a part in their stay. Crossing the river in the rain is all part of the fun. The cottage has an amazing fireplace inside, so if the weather doesn't cooperate, guests can settle in and enjoy the experience of being cozied up, playing board games, chilling over a drink, and watching the river or rain, which is truly an experience in itself.

Children can entertain themselves with the rowing boat, waterfall, swimming in the river, and playing at the beach. A short four-minute canoe trip brings guests to the beach visible from the cottage. The cottage sleeps a maximum of 6 adults in three bedrooms and has space for 2 children in the loft area on a sleeper couch.
