Kaapsehoop Adventures

Kaapsehoop Adventures is located in Coetzeestroom, in the heart of the Berlin Forest. It offers unique teepee accommodation as well as rooms. The venue can accommodate a total of 14 guests, and large group bookings can pitch tents to cater for overflow, with a maximum capacity of 30 guests for everyone's comfort. Group bookings with a minimum size of 8 people are preferred.

Guests are advised to have a vehicle with high ground clearance that can travel on dirt roads, as they will need to travel 6km of dirt road to reach the venue. The venue is self-catering, and guests have access to a communal boma equipped with barbecue facilities, cooking facilities, and a pizza oven. Catering for pizza cookouts is available on request, with ingredients and wood supplied, allowing guests to design and bake their own pizzas.

The ablution facilities are shared and consist of male and female bathrooms with showers. Communal areas are serviced daily. As the venue is off the grid, it features gas refrigeration, gas plate cookers, braai facilities, and skottels. Solar lighting is provided in all communal areas, with limited lighting in the teepees and rooms. Guests are advised to bring their own headlights or torches. Hot water for the showers is provided by means of a donkey boiler.

Kaapsehoop Adventures is a true nature lover's paradise, with over 200 bird species, making it a delight for birdwatchers and photographers. Guests can engage in activities such as hiking trails, horseback riding, and mountain biking (own bikes required). Tours of sites, including Adams Calendar, are available at an additional cost. Several herds of wild horses roam the greater Kaapsehoop area and are often seen at Kaapsehoop Adventures.
