Kalahari Farmhouse, Gondwana Collection Namibia

Kalahari Farmhouse, part of the Gondwana Collection Namibia, is a charming oasis situated on the outskirts of Stampriet in the Hardap region. The property features an enchanting garden setting with towering palms, flowing streamlets, and abundant birdlife, creating a peaceful desert retreat.

The accommodation comprises 11 Cape Dutch-style chalets, including nine twin rooms, one triple room, and one family room. Each unit is tastefully decorated with colorful patchwork quilts and features modern amenities including air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms with showers, and tea/coffee facilities. The main building, a historic manor from the Karakul farming era of 50 years ago, houses the reception and restaurant.

Adjacent to the lodge is Gondwana's Self Sufficiency Centre, where various meat products are produced, and a small farming operation provides fresh produce for the restaurant's menu. While the property itself offers limited activities, guests can participate in sunset excursions to the dunes at nearby Kalahari Anib Lodge, located 30 kilometers away.

The property benefits from artesian water, enabling the maintenance of its lush gardens. Facilities include a cold-water swimming pool, restaurant, bar, curio shop, and Wi-Fi access. The venue is particularly well-positioned for travelers moving between Windhoek and southern destinations, or those en route to the Kgalagadi or South Africa.
