Kalahari Monate Lodge

Kalahari Monate Lodge is a serene accommodation establishment located 13 kilometers north of Upington in the Northern Cape, South Africa, en route to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The property offers an authentic Kalahari Desert experience while maintaining high standards of comfort and hospitality.

The lodge features six luxurious self-catering thatched roof chalets, each accommodating up to three persons with either three single beds or one double bed and one single bed. An interleading door system allows two chalets to be connected, providing accommodation for up to six persons. Each chalet is equipped with a modern kitchen featuring a large fridge/freezer, a private bathroom with shower, air conditioning and heating, and a built-in braai (barbecue) facility on the patio. All units come fully furnished with provided linen and towels.

For camping enthusiasts, the lodge offers 43 spacious grass-covered sites with power points and access to well-maintained ablution facilities. Additional amenities include a swimming pool, two thatched lapas, and rustic braai facilities. The property successfully combines the natural beauty of the Kalahari landscape with modern comfort and convenience, making it an ideal destination for both self-catering and camping visitors.
