Kapteinskloof Guest House

Kapteinskloof Guest House offers a comfortable self-catering cottage situated on a smallholding between Piketberg and Veldriff. The original sandveld cottage possesses the charm and character of bygone days. It can accommodate two to six people and is located approximately 30 kilometers outside of Piketberg.

The fully self-catering cottage comprises three bedrooms and does not have a TV, radio, or cell phone reception in the rooms. The detached cottage is equipped with all necessary cutlery, crockery, and bedding for guests, but they need to bring their own swimming towels. Outside, there are braai facilities and an inviting swimming pool located in a grove of citrus trees.

The cozy kitchen features a Dover stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, a small oven, and a hot plate. Additionally, Kapteinskloof Guest House offers a portable KolKol wood-fired hot tub for an extra charge of R250 per night, allowing guests to relax and gaze at the stars. Firewood is available for purchase at R50 per bag.

Pets are welcomed at the guest house, strictly by arrangement, with consideration for the resident animals. Dogs, horses, and caged birds are allowed throughout the year. Pets can sleep inside, but guests must provide their own pet beds, bedding, and bowls. Stables are available for horses. Guests must ensure that their pets, especially dogs, are well-behaved and do not chase chickens or cats on the property.

The cottage features three bedrooms: two rooms with double beds and one room with two single beds. Each room has an en-suite bathroom.
