Kariega Game Reserve Main Lodge

The Kariega Game Reserve Main Lodge is composed of 21 spacious and comfortable air-conditioned log chalets. These chalets feature en-suite bathrooms and private viewing decks. The lodge also features a spectacular architectural pub and restaurant that serves traditional South African cuisine under an open-air boma. The lodge and swimming pool are integrated with the surrounding bush.

The Main Lodge is located within the Big 5 private game reserve, which spans across 10,000 hectares of pristine African wilderness. The reserve incorporates the picturesque Kariega and Bushmans Rivers. Kariega offers a combination of Big 5 and general game viewing through an expansive variety of fauna, flora, and birdlife. The landscape encompasses five different ecosystems, offering dramatic views and vistas.

In addition to the unforgettable game viewing from open vehicles with qualified game rangers, guests can enjoy a variety of other activities. These activities include guided bush walks, river cruises, canoeing, an overnight bush camp, and visits to the nearby beaches of Kenton-on-Sea.
