Katikati Eco Lodge

KatiKati Eco Lodge is a tranquil retreat situated in White River, Mpumalanga, South Africa, nestled in the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains. The name "KatiKati," derived from Swahili meaning "in between," reflects the lodge's unique positioning between the Kruger National Park and the Panorama Tourism Route, offering guests convenient access to both attractions while maintaining a peaceful natural setting.

The eco-conscious establishment is currently evolving, with ongoing development focused on creating more environmentally friendly accommodations and a small events venue. The property aims to become fully self-sufficient and off-the-grid, emphasizing energy sustainability and waste recycling while promoting natural restoration of the farm environment.

The lodge currently offers three operational self-catering units, with additional units under development. Unit 1 is a studio apartment for two guests, featuring a double bed, lounge area, kitchenette, and private bathroom. Unit 2 accommodates up to three persons with similar amenities plus an additional single bed. Unit 6 is designed for groups, offering four bedrooms and a loft area, accommodating up to twelve people with shared facilities and an outdoor kitchen.

KatiKati provides various services including airport transfers to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and bus transfer assistance. The hosts offer guided day trips to Kruger National Park, complete with picnic lunches, and can arrange safari experiences through local operators. They also provide guidance and booking support for activities along the Panorama Route.
