Khandizwe River Lodge

Khandizwe River Lodge is a luxurious 5-star graded self-catering thatched lodge located on the outskirts of Malelane, offering stunning views of the adjacent Kruger National Park. It offers four en-suite bedrooms and is available for private rental to couples, families, or small groups of between two to eight guests. The lodge is in close proximity to the Southern Entry point into the Kruger Park, the Malelane Gate.

The lodge is fully serviced on a daily basis by Rose and Nancy, who take great pride in ensuring uncompromised standards of excellence are maintained at all times. Guests are offered a complimentary delightful breakfast platter, while all other meals are either self-catering or can be enjoyed at one of the restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The lodge features a modern well-equipped kitchen and a BBQ lapa, which are popular with guests who enjoy preparing their own meals. Groceries can be conveniently acquired from well-known supermarket brands located in Malelane.

Each booking ensures private use of the entire lodge and all facilities. In keeping with its 5-star grading from the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa, each of the four masterfully appointed en-suite bedrooms exudes refinement, featuring amenities such as mini-bars, beverage trays, air-conditioners, ceiling fans, hair dryers, and fine linen. The lounge and living areas offer fine devotion to detail, while the elevated position of the expansive veranda, garden, swimming pool, and game viewing deck provides guests with an ideal vantage point to observe large herds of elephants, buffalos, and other game grazing on the banks of the Crocodile River adjoining the lodge.

Self-drive excursions into the Kruger Park are popular, with the Malelane Gate being a short distance away. Alternatively, guests can explore the Kruger Park in an open game vehicle by booking one of the many specialized Safari Excursions offered by private guides and rangers, including a 3-hour Sunrise or Sunset Safari or an exclusive full-day Safari (prices on request).
