Kheis Riverside Lodge is named after the indigenous Khoi-San people, which means "place to stay". It is situated on the banks of the Orange River, where the Upper Karoo and Kalahari regions come together. The lodge serves as a perfect stopover for tourists, avid campers, or travelers seeking a getaway.

The lodge offers a choice of comfortable chalets or campsites. There are eight fully equipped self-catering chalets with open-plan living areas, providing guests with beautiful views of the grounds and surroundings. Additionally, the lodge features 10 campsites located along the river bank, each with a private barbecue area and access to electricity.

For guests seeking meals, breakfast, lunch, or dinner can be provided by the lodge's guest house, Grape Vine Guest House, located approximately 10 kilometers away. The lodge also has a lapa available for conference needs.

The area is a popular destination for anglers from across the country due to its fishing opportunities. Moreover, bird-watchers can enjoy observing 150 identified species in the region. Hiking trails are available alongside the Orange River and water channels, while a 4x4 route is located on a nearby game farm, within walking distance from the lodge.

Situated next to the river, guests can partake in various water activities such as tube riding, canoeing down the river, or simply relaxing and swimming. Life jackets are available upon request. Sundowner game drives and horseback riding can also be arranged on request.

Each campsite is located along the river bank and equipped with electricity and a private barbecue area. An ablution block is shared between the campsites, and wood, tables, and chairs are available upon request.
