Klaarfontein Guest Farm

Klaarfontein Guest Farm is located approximately 5 kilometers from the N3 highway near Swinburne. It offers self-catering accommodation that can accommodate up to 15 people. The guest farm serves as an ideal stopover or overnight location for travelers on their way to the North Coast or South Coast.

The farmhouse consists of six bedrooms, three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and two comfortable lounges with cozy fireplaces and underfloor heating. The kitchen is well-equipped with a fridge-freezer, a microwave, an electrical oven, and all the necessary crockery and cutlery. Ample parking is available on the premises. Regular snowfalls occur on the farm during the winter months, and it is advisable to use a 4x4 vehicle during these periods.

Klaarfontein Guest Farm is in close proximity to Van Reenen, Van Reenen's Pass, Montrose, Swinburn, and Harrismith. The farm offers various activities such as relaxation, long walks in the fields, horse riding, fishing, and opportunities for 4x4 and quad bike enthusiasts to explore the area's various routes. The Wilge River runs through the farm, allowing guests to paddle on a canoe for kilometers or to the Sterkfontein Dam, which is 50 kilometers away. There are also plenty of fishing opportunities, as well as adventure and mountain biking trails.

The accommodation consists of two self-catering units. Unit one has two bedrooms: bedroom one has a double bed and a single bed, while bedroom two has three single beds. It also features an open-plan kitchen, a sitting/dining room, a full bathroom, and a separate toilet. Unit two has four bedrooms: bedroom one has two single beds, bedroom two has one double bed and a single bed, bedroom three has one double bed and two single beds, and bedroom four has one double bed, a single bed, and a sleeping couch that can accommodate two toddlers. Both units have fully equipped kitchens. Guests are required to bring their own towels. Additionally, there is an outside fire pit (boma) and an indoor fireplace.
