Knysna Houseboats

Knysna Houseboats offers fully equipped, self-drive houseboats for scenic cruising along the Knysna tidal estuary. These floating accommodations are designed to host up to four adults or a family of five, with no prior boating experience or skipper's license required for operation.

The fleet comprises several vessels including Evening Star, Royal Dawn, Misty Dawn, Dreamer, Southern Cross, Morning Star, and Barely-A-Wake. Each houseboat is powered by a 40hp Yamaha engine, with most utilizing 2-stroke engines, while Barely-A-Wake features a 4-stroke engine without trim and tilt capabilities. All vessels are built to exceed South African Maritime Safety Authority standards.

Each houseboat functions as a complete floating home, featuring comprehensive self-catering facilities including a full galley and bathroom. The vessels are equipped with high-quality specifications and include a rooftop sun deck for leisure. Safety is prioritized with each boat carrying essential equipment including life jackets, first aid kits, and fire extinguishers. For preservation of the interior environment, smoking is prohibited inside the houseboats.
