Knysna Houseboats

Knysna Houseboats provides fully equipped, self-drive houseboats for individuals to spend their holidays gently cruising along the scenic tidal estuary in Knysna. No prior experience or skipper's license is required, and the houseboats can accommodate up to four adults or a family of five comfortably.

The houseboats exceed the operational and safety requirements set by the South African Maritime Safety Authority. They are designed to serve as a floating home away from home, offering a unique holiday experience. The boats are fitted with high-quality specifications to ensure a comfortable stay. All houseboats feature basic self-catering facilities, including a full galley and bathroom, as well as a rooftop sun deck for guests to relax.

For safety purposes, the boats are equipped with all necessary safety equipment, life jackets, a first aid kit, and fire extinguishers. Guests only need an adventurous spirit and a love for the outdoors, as Knysna Houseboats will make them the captain of their own holiday. It is important to note that smoking is not permitted inside the houseboats.

The luxurious self-drive boats provided by Knysna Houseboats are fully equipped with everything guests might need. The "Barley Awake" model is fitted with a 40hp Yamaha 4-Stroke outboard engine without trim and tilt capabilities. It also includes safety equipment such as life jackets, a first aid kit, and a fire extinguisher.
