Koedoesrus Boskamp is a distinctive camping facility located in the heart of Dinokeng Game Reserve, Gauteng Province, approximately 45km outside Pretoria near Hammanskraal. Notable for being situated within the only Big 5 game reserve in Gauteng, the establishment offers an authentic African bush experience.
The property features multiple camping areas, including a main camp with communal facilities and more secluded bush camp sites. All stands are equipped with electrical points, though guests are advised to prepare for load shedding alternatives. The facilities include hot water ablutions, flush toilets, and borehole water safe for human consumption. Each site is furnished with a braai and waste bin, which receives daily maintenance.
The main camp area includes a small splash pool for summer relief, and while situated near the main house, guest privacy is prioritized across the 4-hectare fenced premises. The establishment provides basic amenities such as firewood, fire-bola logs, and ice for purchase on-site. A playground is available for children aged 3-10 years.
The venue also houses "Die Teepot Boere Kombuis," a restaurant offering traditional South African cuisine, including monthly Sunday buffet lunches. The facility doubles as a bushveld wedding venue, providing a unique alternative to conventional wedding locations, with on-site camping available for wedding guests.
The bush camp sites (A and B) have a preferred minimum requirement of 10 guests per site due to their size. Located within the greater Dinokeng Game Reserve, visitors can enjoy the surrounding wildlife and natural environment, with various game viewing opportunities available through self-drive permits, which must be arranged separately from the accommodation booking.
