Koensrust Sea Farm

Koensrust Sea Farm is a scenic coastal retreat located on the south cape coast, approximately 3.5 hours from Cape Town. The property encompasses 1000 hectares of fynbos vegetation, with 2 kilometers of remote beachfront and 1 kilometer of Duiwenhoks river frontage, offering a diverse natural environment for visitors.

The establishment provides multiple self-catering accommodation options, including the Kapstyl, a traditional southern cape cottage that accommodates six people in three rooms, featuring a wrap-around stoep with panoramic views of the fynbos, sea, and mountains. The Cottage can house eight guests, and the Beach Shack, an old fisherman's holiday dwelling, also sleeps eight and is situated in a sandy cove overlooking rock pools and an ancient San fish trap.

Activities available to guests include beach and river swimming, exploring rock pools at low tide, lengthy walks or runs along the beach and fynbos paths, and cycling opportunities towards Puntijie, Stillbaai, and beyond. The property is particularly suited for fishermen, walkers, runners, swimmers, mountain bikers, canoeists, fynbos enthusiasts, and bird watchers.

The accommodations are well-equipped with full kitchens and dining/sitting areas. Both the Kapstyl and the Cottage feature outdoor braai areas and protective deck spaces suitable for relaxation in various weather conditions. The Cottage includes an indoor fireplace for winter comfort, while the Kapstyl is fitted with a gas heater. The establishment is dog-friendly, allowing guests to bring their pets to enjoy the natural surroundings.
