Koo Karoo Guest Lodge

Koo Karoo Guest Lodge is a centrally situated accommodation establishment in the picturesque town of Montagu. It comprises a 100-year-old Victorian house with large comfortable rooms, a converted coach house that serves as a quaint self-catering apartment full of character, and an additional self-catering apartment suitable for couples or small groups of friends.

The lodge features three double/twin en-suite rooms, a self-catering family cottage, a self-catering apartment, a sparkling swimming pool, and ample off-street parking. It offers amenities such as restaurants and other facilities within easy walking distance, a pool situated in a secluded garden, a patio overlooking the garden, and a braai/barbecue area available to all guests.

Montagu is located on the famous Route 62, providing a scenic alternative for travelers between Cape Town and the Garden Route. It is a peaceful town steeped in history, renowned for its spectacular rock formations, fruit orchards, vineyards, and healing hot springs. The town offers attractive hiking trails, wonderful rock climbing sites, and a nature garden.

Two museums reflect the history of the vicinity, and an herb garden contains a large number of medicinal plants found in the area. Montagu is known for its muscatel wine, and four wine cellars in and around the town produce an assortment of excellent wines. The tractor ride to the top of the Langeberg outside the town is considered an unforgettable experience. The area features a healthy, unpolluted, dry climate, and the Koo Valley, known for its fresh and dried fruit, is situated near the town. Montagu is only two hours' drive from Cape Town and within easy reach of the coast.
