Kruger Ranch

Kruger Ranch is a nature and accommodation establishment located in the Magaliesburg bush area, approximately an hour's drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. It offers a comfortable lodge with eight rooms and a spacious campground. The lodge features six double rooms, four of which are en-suite, a bunk room that sleeps four, and a single room that sleeps two. There is a communal kitchen fully equipped for self-catering needs.

The lodge also includes a large rondavel with various rooms, such as the Kudu room with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom, the Elephant room with a king bed and shared bathroom, and the Zebra room with a queen bed and shared bathroom. This rondavel also houses a three-quarter billiard table, a lounge suite, games, and books, making it ideal for family groups. Additionally, there is a small Bushbuck hut with a double bed and en-suite bathroom, a cottage with the Leopard room featuring a queen bed and en-suite bathroom, the Meerkat room with two double bunks and a shared bathroom, the Porcupine room with single beds and shared bathroom, and the Wild Dog room with a king-size bed and a spacious en-suite bathroom.

The outdoor area offers a large comfortable patio, a fire pit for campfires, and a thatched roof area for afternoon game viewing and relaxation. The heated pool provides a scenic view when the game animals come in the late afternoon, and there is an umbrella covering the entire pool to avoid unnecessary sun exposure. A jumping castle and trampoline are available for younger guests' enjoyment.

The bushveld campground has forty powered campsites on a four-hectare area, providing privacy and space for group bookings. The campsites are grassed with bushveld trees offering shade. There is a large swimming pool, a well-stocked shop, and light take-away meals near the pool area. The campground has spacious practical bathrooms with large shower rooms and toilet cubicles, including two family bathrooms.

Kruger Ranch is located close to various attractions, such as the Cradle of Humankind UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sun City, Pilanesberg National Park, Lion Park, and private game reserves. The accommodation is family-friendly but also suitable for solo travelers and couples en route to Botswana. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, observe different antelope species from their rooms or campsites, and watch the unique African sunset while having a sundowner on the patio. Activities include game drives, bird watching, hiking, and sunset animal feedings. The establishment offers romantic getaway options, stargazing opportunities, and the possibility of arranging picnic baskets.
