Kuruma Farm Cottages is nestled amongst vineyards in the picturesque Brandwacht Valley, Western Cape, South Africa. Located at the foot of the majestic Brandwacht Mountains, the property lies seven kilometres from Worcester and approximately 75 minutes from Cape Town, serving as an ideal base for exploring the Breede River Valley and Route 62.
The establishment offers six distinct accommodation options, managed by proprietor Celeste and her dedicated team. The property features five cottages and a loft apartment, each uniquely designed to cater to different guest requirements. Bergamot Cottage provides two en-suite bedrooms, while Angelica and Lavender are semi-detached studio-type cottages. Neroli Cottage offers two bedrooms with a shared bathroom, and Nigella Cottage features a king-size bedroom with en-suite facilities and mountain views. The Loft provides comfortable accommodation above the main house with a separate entrance.
The farm offers various activities and amenities for guests. They conduct two annual introductory Permaculture courses covering topics such as design principles, composting, vermiculture, water strategies, and orchard management. The property is pet-friendly, though specific rules apply regarding indoor access and interaction with farm animals. Children are welcome and can participate in activities such as feeding animals and collecting eggs. Additional recreational activities include canoeing (under parental supervision), fishing in the farm dam, volleyball, and Pétanque.
