Kvalsvig Cottage

Kvalsvig Cottage is a spacious, five-bedroomed, self-catering beach house located near a secluded, pet-friendly beach and lagoon. The cottage features a large living area, a fully-enclosed courtyard with a barbecue area, an outside dining table, a lawn, and an outside shower. It offers a relaxed getaway for families, groups, and pet lovers. The cottage provides uncapped WiFi and Open View TV for entertainment and connectivity.

The surrounding area is known for regular visits from monkeys, buck, and various bird species. The cottage borders protected riverine forest, where Blue Duiker, Bushbuck, and Mongoose can be seen on the lawn. A resident troupe of vervet monkeys and a diverse range of bird life, including Fish Eagles and Purple-crested Turaco, can be observed.

The accommodation comprises four double bedrooms, three of which have double beds (one en-suite), and one with two single beds. Additionally, there is a spacious bedroom with three single beds. The cottage provides bedding, including non-allergic pillows, duvets, sheets, fleece blankets, and thick blankets. It also features a full bathroom with a bath and toilet, an en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet, a separate shower, and a separate toilet.

The cottage has a spacious lounge and dining area with a long dining room table that can seat twelve people. The lounge opens onto a large courtyard with another large dining table and a fitted braai area. On the other side, the lounge opens onto a verandah, lawn, and riverine bush, where buck, mongooses, and vervet monkeys often appear. For cooler evenings in winter, there is an indoor fireplace.

The separate kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, crockery, cutlery, a microwave, an additional freezer, a bar-fridge, and a washing machine. The property also has a single lock-up garage leading into the courtyard area, a fenced perimeter, and a monitored burglar alarm.

The secluded, pet-friendly Munster Beach is located 100 meters away, and its lagoon and rock pools provide entertainment for children. A sandbank in the bay and a reef in the next bay south offer safe ocean swimming at low tide. Pets are welcome at the cottage for a charge of R50 per pet per night. Nearby amenities include shops, golf courses, restaurants, water sports, and nature reserves within a short driving distance. There is also a little spa at Macbanana, approximately 14 kilometers away.
