Kwetu Guest Farm

Kwetu Guest Farm is situated in Buffeljagsrivier, 11km outside Swellendam, South Africa's third oldest town. The name "Kwetu," derived from Swahili, means "Our home, our place" and draws inspiration from a former shelter for single mothers in Congo run by Spanish nuns.

The 87-hectare property offers diverse accommodation options, including three self-catering cottages, two apartments, and additional rooms. The cottages, positioned around a pond, provide scenic views of the farm, surrounding mountains, and local wildlife. The apartments feature loft bedrooms with wooden deck access, while the rooms offer open-plan layouts with kitchenettes and outdoor braai areas. All units come fully equipped with necessary amenities, including cutlery, crockery, and linens.

The farm is home to an impressive variety of wildlife, including giraffes, golden wildebeest, kudu, sable, eland, waterbuck, springbok, and bontebok. Over 60 bird species have been identified on the property, including the Blue Crane, South Africa's national bird. Visitors can enjoy self-driven game drives, bird watching, and water activities in the recreational dam.

Facilities include fully equipped kitchens, cozy fireplaces in the cottages, and covered verandahs with braai facilities.
