La Ferme

La Ferme is a self-catering accommodation located in the Franschhoek Winelands, offering a relaxed weekend getaway. It is particularly popular among those with a keen interest in fly fishing, as it features stocked dams on the premises where guests can engage in the sport. The property features exquisite views, absolute silence, and a clean and safe environment.

On the premises, there are four well-stocked fishing dams where guests can catch rainbow trout, bass, and carp. The dams are equipped with wooden decks and braai (barbecue) facilities, allowing visitors to relax, socialize, and enjoy picnics alongside the water. La Ferme also offers opportunities for outdoor activities such as mountain biking and hiking in the neighboring Limietberg Nature Reserve, where guests can bring their own bikes but need to book a permit through Cape Nature.

In addition to fishing and outdoor pursuits, La Ferme is renowned for its opportunities for animal and bird watching, with guests able to observe majestic fish eagles and other wildlife. The accommodation is also conveniently located near the quaint towns of Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, and Paarl, which offer various attractions such as fine dining restaurants, art galleries, gift shops, cheese shops, chocolate shops, and coffee shops.

The accommodation itself consists of three bedrooms: one with a queen bed, one with a double bed, and two single beds upstairs. There is also a shower/toilet, kitchen, and combined lounge/dining area.
